How Pip’s dailies work
Today, yesterday and the day before sit together on Home. Open any date to see its full set, or use the archive to go further back.
- A proper daily set. Every published date contains the same 12 puzzle types, with a board prepared for each one.
- Play one or play the lot. Each puzzle has its own progress, so you can dip in for a Sudoku or work through the whole page.
- Missed a day? Go back. The archive keeps earlier sets available instead of replacing them when the date changes.
- One reminder, if you want one. A single daily nudge at a time you pick. It stays off unless you turn it on.
The 12 daily puzzle types
The set covers number, word, logic and knowledge puzzles. These are the puzzle types with a Daily and their own dated archive:
- Sudoku — Fill the grid, one to nine.
- Nonogram — Paint by numbers.
- KenKen — Arithmetic cages.
- Kakuro — Cross-sums logic.
- Number Target — Four numbers, hit the target.
- Word Search — Find every hidden word.
- Word Guess — Solve clues from a letter bank.
- Word Ladder — Change one letter at a time.
- Hangman — Guess the word before the figure is drawn.
- Logic Grid — A new mystery every grid.
- Code Breaker — Crack the hidden colour code.
- Trivia — Five questions, four answers each.
The rest of the 31-puzzle catalogue is still available whenever you fancy it, but does not appear in the Daily. That includes games such as Number Sequence, Memory Match, Tessera and the card and arcade games.
Made for a shared daily ritual
A dated, published board means today’s Sudoku is today’s Sudoku on every device. You can compare a result with somebody else, leave a harder puzzle for later, and return through the archive without the board quietly changing underneath you.
